New Level, New Devils

New Level New Devils

17 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold. 18 Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; 19 so David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?” The Lord answered him, “Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.”20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, “As waters break out, the Lord has broken out against my enemies before me.” So that place was called Baal Perazim.  21 The Philistines abandoned their idols there, and David and his men carried them off. 2 Samuel 5:17-21 (NIV)

I’m sure we have all heard the expression new level, new devils. If you haven’t, it simply means that when you elevate in life you have more challenges that come your way. The good news is that God is with us every step of the way. Just like in the text, David has reached a new level in his life and he is being attacked. But God steps in and helps David. It is God’s will for us to go to higher levels and grow. We all pray and ask God to increase and enlarge our territory, but we get mad when we have to face trials and new Devils. How can you expect to grow if you never go through trials to make you stronger? We want the blessing without the lesson, but what we must understand is that if God takes us to a new level then we have His anointing over us. You can’t ask for the anointing and no battle. We must go through the whole process and trust God. Remember just like God helped David he will help you too.
