Be Still

Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:10 New Living Translation (NLT)

I can’t speak for everyone, but I know I can speak for myself that it is sometimes hard to “be still.” Especially when you are young and praying for answers. We have goals, ambitions, and dreams but when we pray to God and ask for guidance and he doesn’t answer it gets harder to be still. The scripture teaches us that whenever disaster strikes and it seems that all hope is lost, that God can handle it all. We have to trust God and be still and know that his timing is perfect. To be still means to be quiet and not worry. Pray, talk to God, and leave it all in His hands. He will take care of the rest.

No matter what you are praying for, if God isn’t answering you, it’s okay. Just be still. No matter what we may have planned, God’s plan is much better. Just trust, believe, and be still.
